These are your basic humans: Strong, dependable, and durable. These people are able, through work and hardship, to adapt themselves into any type of environment.

   In the world of Haven of the Embraced, there are three different types, "classes" if you will, of employment: Rogues, Swordsmen, and Clergy. Each class, though different, is perfectly suited to its own particular type of work.

   In addition, each class has three subclasses called Professions. These Professions allow one to customize his/her lifestyle and employment to the point where their skills and abilities are honed to a fine edge.

   Even though the mortals are not as strong as the species hominus nocturnus, the Vampire, let it be known that many mortals have been very successful in survival, and that some even hunt the undead Kindred for fear of the unknown.

   Also of note, although this old scribe knows little of it, it is said that once a mortal is Embraced into the ranks of the Kindred, he retains his class and profession throughout his entire unlife.
